Music rights
The music in your edit is original music made for your video, so you can post it on social media, websites and ads. You can also use your own track when you have the rights to it.
Steps
- Original music is made new for each video, matched to its mood and its cuts.
- Your own track: upload it and tick that you have the rights. Commercial songs you don't own are often muted by the platforms.
- For weddings and faith content, choose the music level: normal music, voices and daff only, voices only with no instruments, or no music.
- A video you like is matched for its feel, never for its music.
Questions
Can I use a popular song?
Only when you have the rights to it. Platforms often mute or block videos with songs that aren't licensed.
Can I post the edit in paid ads?
Yes. The music and sound effects are made new for your video, so the edit can run on social media, websites and ads.
Can I get the video without music?
Yes. Choose no music, or use the separate music, effects and speech tracks that come with full edits and sound design.
