Who is responsible
DN Studio, which runs DN Edit, is responsible for your account, order and payment data. For the people who appear in your footage, we process it only to make your edit, on your instructions. We follow the EU GDPR and Türkiye's personal data law (KVKK).
What we keep
Your email, the name you give us, your sign-in devices and the approximate place of each sign-in (city and country, worked out from your IP address and shown in the sign-in email), your projects, briefs, notes and messages, your brand kits and saved styles, your files and finished videos, and your payment records (never your card number). Your IP address itself is kept only as a keyed hash (a code made from it with a secret key, which doesn't reveal the address), for 90 days, to keep accounts safe and stop abuse of free edits.
Why
To run your account and your orders (contract), to keep the service safe and stop abuse of free edits (legitimate interest), and to keep money records (legal duty). Marketing emails are sent only if you turn them on. We don't sell your data and we don't use your files to train AI.
Who processes it
Trusted cloud and AI processing providers under contract support storage, security, editing, sound, payments and email delivery. Each receives only the data necessary for that purpose. Editing data includes selected frames, transcripts, visible text, briefs, review comments and brand guidelines. Audio requests include sound descriptions and voice-over scripts. Email delivery uses your address, message content and delivery status. Payment processing uses billing details. Some processing takes place outside Türkiye and the EU, with the safeguards required by applicable law.
Where your files are edited
DN Edit is an online AI service. Files are encrypted in storage and processed with restricted access to deliver your order. Editing requests exclude your account name and email. Location and camera metadata are removed from images prepared for AI processing.
How long we keep it
Sign-in codes: 10 minutes. Sessions: until you sign out, 30 days without use, 90 days at most. Uploads of unpaid orders: 72 hours, with a warning email 24 hours before. Raw footage of paid orders: 30 days after the last delivery, or up to 90 days if you choose so for a project with up to 20 GB of footage, with a warning email 7 days before. Finished videos: 365 days. Progress images made during editing: 30 days. Reference videos: deleted right after their style is measured. Brand kits, styles, intros and outros: until you delete them; after 24 months without use we email you, then delete them 30 days later. Unused free edits: until they expire, with a warning email 5 days before. Project processing files and editing notes: 30 days after the project is done, or at once when you delete your data. Security log (ids only, never your email or codes): 2 years. Contact requests: 12 months after the last reply. Payment records: 10 years, without your name or email once your account is deleted.
How long our providers keep data
Contracted processing providers retain necessary request and security data for their applicable processing and safety periods. Project records and files follow the periods above. Audio requests and email delivery records follow the contracted retention policies. Payment and tax records are kept as required by law. Project data is excluded from AI model training. Contact us for information about contracted processors and transfer safeguards.
Cookies
We use only cookies the service needs: one keeps you signed in and one protects free edits from abuse. Your language choice is saved in your own browser. There are no tracking or advertising cookies, so there is no cookie banner.
Your rights
You can see, download, correct and delete your data yourself on your account page, and delete your files or your whole account at any time. You can also email nebras@filmsbydn.com; we answer within 30 days. You may complain to your data protection authority.
Security and incidents
Access is restricted and file processing is isolated. If a breach affects you, we inform the authority within 72 hours where the law requires it, and tell you quickly in your language.
Children
DN Edit is for people aged 18 and over. Videos that show children need the consent of a parent or guardian, which is confirmed when ordering.
Languages
This policy is also available in Arabic. If the two versions differ, the English version applies.
